These are pictures of one of Chicago Park District’s newest Dog Friendly Areas at Lakeshore East Park. Turf was used around the natural setting of trees. The design portion of Horner Park’s initiative does not occur until further along in the process, but you can get an idea of how a similar-themed DFA looks. Of course, Horner Park’s proposed DFA would be much bigger and is envisioned to be mostly artificial grass –so fewer pavers/paths/curbs than shown here.
