Please accept our apologies for any confusion about the proposed dog friendly area site. The area we show on our visuals for the planned site is only to indicate generally where the DFA will be. The entire highlighted area is larger than the maximum 1.8 acres that we would be allowed. Once we complete the usage surveys and move on to the design phase we will work with the Park District project managers to find the best space within that area. Again, the dog friendly area will only take up a subsection of the highlighted area, up to 1.8 acres. The exact size and shape will depend on the results of the usage surveys, community input, Chicago Park District Project Management advice and funding.
