Beneful Dream Dog Park Contest

Enter to win $500,000 to build our park!  Here are the basic rules (see site for complete rules):

  • A completed online entry form including your first and last name, home address, phone number, e-mail address, and the name, age, and breed of the dog featured in the Entry.
  • An essay of 250 words or less (one to 250 words) that answers the question: "If you had $500,000 to create a 'Dream Dog Park' where you and your best buddy can play together, what would you do?" Essay must be written in English.
  • A photo which must include both you and your dog, that shows how life is better when you are together. If you own more than one dog, only one dog may be featured in the photo. The maximum file size for any photo uploaded to the Contest website is 3MB. Photos may be color or black/white and must be submitted in one of the following file formats: .GIF, .JPG, or .PNG. Photo may not include other dogs, animals or identifiable people, even in the background. Photo must be a single photographic image, not a combination or collage of photos/images.
  • A title/theme that describes your Entry. Title/theme is limited to 50 characters or less and should be an overall description of your ideas for creating a "Dream Dog Park." Examples of a title/theme are: 1) Pirate Play Land; 2) Space Adventure; and 3) Doggy Gymnastics Park. Sponsor is seeking new and creative ideas. Under no circumstances does "new and creative" mean "extreme" or "unfeasible."
    Eligible Entries will be judged by a qualified panel of judges ("Judges") who will evaluate each Entry based on the following Judging Criteria:
    (1) Creativity and originality of the ideas for your "Dream Dog Park" (40%);
    (2) How well your ideas will make play with your best buddy more fun in the dog park (40%); and
    (3) Feasibility of bringing the ideas to life (20%).

The deadline for entries is 11 a.m. on September 17. Submit early and often! Just kidding, one entry per household. You should probably do the early part, though.
